"Shooting" Revisited

Many of you know that I have been blessed and enjoy an "artistic" background. I seem to no longer find time to paint (really seem to be longing for it again)...but I have reinvented my photography background. It has really been FUN! I've been blessed this year to "shoot" two Seniors 2009 that I dearly love, and it was a pleasure to "gift" the shoots and photos. I have attached one that I just completed for my friend Becca. Let me know what you think...probably not your traditional first thought of a senior photo (but, really, when have I ever been traditional?)...hope she and her Mom will enjoy this for many years...luv ya girls!

Which Way Will You Go

Family and friends have seen changes galore this summer. Some are weathering well, some are feeling weathered. I have a niece that is changing jobs next school year, moving from one campus to another. She is excited about the move, but dreading leaving her beloved work team behind. She received a gift from the campus on her last day of school. She received a copy of Dr. Seuss' "Which Way Will You Go." The book in itself made me reflect and smile, but as she revealed the inside of the back and front covers, she was just beaming. As if it were a treasured high school yearbook, the entire teaching and admin staff had written a brief line of encouragement or fondness and signed it. What a great gift! I can understand why she sadly leaves behind such a warm and creative work team! Not too long ago I ran across a Dr. Seuss quote, which really "fits" me right now....in his magical words...
I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind.
Some come from ahead and some come from behind.
But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see.
Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!
~Dr. Seuss
